Now rescuing bikes across the Denver metro — the first rescued bikes drop soon

The Rescue Standard

How a forgotten bike
becomes certified

The same frame-off process for every single bike — whether it's a $400 commuter or a carbon race machine. No shortcuts, no mystery, no exceptions.

01

Found & Assessed

Every rescue starts as somebody's forgotten bike — a garage queen, a barn find, a moving-sale orphan.

We check the serial against national stolen-bike registries, assess the frame for structural integrity, and decide honestly whether this bike deserves the full treatment. Not every bike does — and we'd rather part one out than sell a compromise.

02

Stripped to the Frame

Everything comes off. Every bolt, bearing, and cable gets seen — nothing is assumed to be fine.

A quick polish can hide a seized bottom bracket or a cracked seat tube. A full teardown can't. This is the step most 'refurbished' bikes never get, and it's the whole difference.

03

The Ultrasonic Bath

Components go into the ultrasonic tank, where cavitation scrubs places no brush can reach.

Chain rollers, cassette valleys, derailleur pivots, bearing races — twenty years of grit comes out. No harsh solvents, no abrasion, just parts that come out looking machined yesterday.

04

Rebuilt Right

Fresh bearings, cables, chain, and pads wherever they're needed. Original character kept wherever it isn't.

We're not trying to make an old bike look new — we're making it ride new. Wear parts get replaced without debate. Patina that tells the bike's story stays, and gets noted honestly in the listing.

05

Trued, Torqued, Tuned

Wheels trued side-to-side and round. Every fastener torqued to spec. Shifting indexed until it snaps.

The last 10% of a build is where good bikes become great ones. This is slow, patient work — and it's why our bikes feel the way they do.

Test-Ridden in Denver

Real miles on real streets before any bike earns its badge — climbs, descents, hard stops.

If anything creaks, rubs, or hesitates, it goes back in the stand. When it finally rides silent, we photograph it, write the mechanic's notes, and list it. That's Rescue Certified.

The promise

Every rescue is backed by our 30-day ride guarantee

Ride it for a month. If something isn't right, bring it back and we make it right — repair, replace, or refund. And because we're your neighbors, warranty service means riding it over, not shipping it somewhere.
